About...
"In most people's vocabularies, design means veneer. It's interior decorating. It's the fabric of the curtains of the sofa. But to me, nothing could be further from the meaning of design. Design is the fundamental soul of a human-made creation that ends up expressing itself in successive outer layers of the product or service."
Steve Jobs co-founder and CEO of Apple.
What's to Tell?
So let me start by saying that I'm one of the good guys...well I like to think I am.
I've been doing web design and development for over 6 years now and this all came after studying for 4 years on an Information Systems degree at Kingston University. Seems like an age ago now but since then I've slowly gained a keen interest and understanding in all things associated in and around web design and development.
- XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP3, C#, XML, Microsoft Office VBA including Outlook and Advanced Access.
- ASP.NET, Visual Studio.NET, SQL Server 2000, Visual Source Safe, IIS.
- Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop.
- Good web design skills, full understanding of project life cycle and project methodologies.
Outside of all this I have interests that keep me both sane and happy. I love photography and greatly enjoy travelling. These two past times for me, go hand in hand - experiencing and photographing new places and people...there's nothing like it.
I've recently travelled around South America for 5 months (you might have guessed that already) where there were untold photographic opportunities. Most if not all of the shots taken are online for the world to see; all over at Flickr, probably the only site that I visit almost on a daily basis.
